Jonathan Montoya Review: AI Freedom Launchpad, MakerAI, and the Real Cost of Building an Online Business
Can artificial intelligence help you build a successful affiliate marketing business, or are we putting the cart before the horse?
In this Jonathan Montoya Review, I’ll examine AI Freedom Launchpad, MakerAI, their potential costs, and whether these programs make sense for someone just entering affiliate marketing.

Who Is Jonathan Montoya?
Jonathan Montoya is an online entrepreneur, mentor, and affiliate marketer whose journey began in a very different profession: electrical engineering.
Like many people entering the world of online marketing, Jonathan wanted something his conventional career wasn’t providing—more freedom and more time with his family.
He eventually left engineering and built a successful online business. Today, Jonathan describes himself as a seven-figure entrepreneur who has helped tens of thousands of aspiring marketers.
His earlier programs include Freedom Accelerator and the 72 Hour Freedom Challenge.
His marketing philosophy revolves around building an ecosystem of complementary affiliate offers, attracting targeted traffic, capturing email addresses, and developing relationships with prospective customers.
The idea is to build an audience that trusts you rather than continually chasing strangers around the internet with sales pitches.
Sound familiar?
It’s a philosophy that shares similarities with the approach I’m learning through Justin Temple’s High Ticket Lifestyle program.
There are differences in presentation, pricing, and support, but both recognize something important: An affiliate marketing business needs more than a product and a sales page. It needs an audience.
Enter Artificial Intelligence: MakerAI and AI Freedom Launchpad

Jonathan’s more recent ventures reflect the rapidly changing online marketplace.
With MakerAI and AI Freedom Launchpad, his focus has expanded toward teaching entrepreneurs how to incorporate artificial intelligence, automation, and digital tools into their businesses.
AI Freedom Launchpad offers training in AI-assisted content creation, marketing, automation, and monetization. Its advertised features include custom GPT agents, AI image and video tools, and resale rights to the course.
MakerAI represents another part of Jonathan’s AI-centered business strategy, emphasizing the creation and marketing of AI-powered products and services.
As the saying goes, “The times make the man.”
And the times are certainly changing.
Artificial intelligence and automation aren’t passing fads. They’re becoming part of everyday business operations.
We can either learn to swim with the tide or risk getting eaten by the sharks.
But there’s a catch.
Just because artificial intelligence can perform a task doesn’t necessarily mean it performs that task better than a human being.
AI Marketing: The Promise Versus the Reality

Artificial intelligence offers some genuine advantages to digital marketers.
It can help draft articles, generate social media content, research topics, organize campaigns, and automate repetitive tasks.
For large companies serving tens of thousands of customers, these capabilities can be extremely valuable.
But what about the individual affiliate marketer working from a spare bedroom?
That’s where things get interesting.
I’ve learned through bitter experience that AI sometimes makes a simple task considerably more complicated than doing it yourself.
You spend 20 minutes explaining what you want, another 15 minutes correcting the result, and another 10 minutes wondering why you didn’t simply do it yourself.
Sound familiar?
There’s another consideration that doesn’t receive nearly enough attention.
Customers still want to deal with human beings.
When someone has a question about a product, they want an answer that addresses their particular concern.
They don’t necessarily want a canned response that sounds as though it was assembled in a laboratory.
This is particularly important when you’re selling education, coaching, or products requiring a substantial financial commitment.
I explored the relationship between AI-generated marketing and consumer trust in an earlier article:
[Insert link: AI Fatigue—Are People Sick of Artificial Marketing?]
My conclusion is straightforward.
AI is a tool. Sometimes a remarkably useful one.
But it isn’t a substitute for judgment, experience, credibility, or the ability to connect with another person.
Who Should Consider Jonathan Montoya’s AI Programs?

Here’s where I think Jonathan’s offerings deserve serious consideration.
If you’re an experienced digital marketer with an established audience, a clearly defined product, and a reliable method of generating leads, AI-powered systems may help you become more productive.
The same applies if you’re developing an AI-related course, subscription, software product, or service.
You already know whom you’re trying to reach.
You understand what you’re selling.
Now you’re looking for ways to improve distribution, content production, and marketing efficiency.
That makes sense.
But suppose you’re brand-new to affiliate marketing.
You don’t have an audience.
You haven’t selected a product.
You don’t understand funnels, email sequences, or traffic generation.
Adding another sophisticated marketing system might create more problems than it solves.
Sometimes experienced marketers forget just how intimidating the technical side of this business can be for newcomers.
And yes, I said business.
Because there are days when the online marketplace resembles the Roman Colosseum!

What Does AI Freedom Launchpad Actually Cost?
This is an important consideration, particularly for beginners trying to control expenses.
At the time of this review, Jonathan’s official AI Freedom Launchpad sales material advertises a $97 one-time entry price.
That includes AI-related training and tools, with lifetime access advertised for the core course.
However, the initial purchase isn’t necessarily the entire financial picture.
Jonathan also advertises an optional AI Launchpad Elite Coaching program for $97 per month.
And one of his sales pages indicates that a Funnel Freedom subscription, also priced at $97 per month, is required to use a particular 100%-commission resale arrangement.
These distinctions matter.
A $97 course is one financial commitment.
A $97 monthly subscription represents $1,164 annually.
Two separate $97 monthly subscriptions would total $2,328 over twelve months, before the initial course purchase.
That doesn’t automatically make either subscription a poor investment.
For an established marketer generating revenue, the expense may be entirely reasonable.
But beginners should understand exactly what they’re purchasing, which subscriptions are optional, and which additional tools their intended business model requires.
The question isn’t simply whether you can afford the program. It’s whether you’re ready to benefit from it.
What About the Beginner Who Has Nothing to Sell?

To Jonathan’s credit, AI Freedom Launchpad is also marketed to beginners.
His sales material describes ways to create content, develop an online presence, and promote existing products, even if you haven’t created a product of your own.
That’s an important distinction.
You don’t necessarily need an established business to enroll.
However, having access to products and knowing how to market them successfully are two different things.
Before spending money, I would want to understand the fundamentals:
- Who is my ideal customer?
- What problem am I helping that customer solve?
- How will I attract an audience?
- What will my recurring expenses be?
- How will I measure whether my marketing is working?
Consider a preschool owner who wants to increase enrollment.
The target audience is local, specific, and relatively easy to identify.
That business might benefit more immediately from community relationships, parent referrals, local search visibility, and a well-maintained website than from an elaborate AI marketing system.
AI might help create newsletters, organize inquiries, or develop promotional materials.
But it won’t replace the trust parents need before placing their children in someone’s care.
Different businesses require different solutions.
What I’m Doing Instead: Building the Foundation First

I’m relatively new to affiliate and digital marketing myself.
My priorities aren’t particularly glamorous.
I’m building an audience.
I’m publishing articles and videos.
I’m learning how to use social media effectively.
I’m tracking results, responding to inquiries, and developing a mailing list.
Most importantly, I’m trying to build a brand that people can trust.
Through Justin Temple’s High Ticket Lifestyle, I’ve been learning how to put the pieces of an affiliate business together without making an enormous financial commitment at the outset.
One thing I’ve particularly appreciated is the personalized assistance.
Justin has been helping me build my landing page, funnel, and email marketing setup.
For someone still learning the technical side of online marketing, that kind of support can be extremely valuable.
You owe it to yourself to visit HighTicketLifestyle. Click https://thehighticketlifestyle.com/danielo to tap into multiple streams of income.
I’m also using the WordPress-based Badass Network platform to publish my articles and develop my brand.
My blogging platform costs approximately $6.25 per week. From that I can build organic traffic and get my message out. Click https://badassnetwork.com/go/dino4051/ now, to see how simple they’ve made blogging for everyday people.
For funnel building, another option worth examining is the Home Business Academy.
HBA offers done for you funnel building : You tell the AI what you want and it builds the entire funnel connected on your domain in about 6 minutes.
You read that correctly. Visit https://thehba.app/go?aff_id=18946 now to take that huge task off your plate.
Its HBA Funnel Builder is offered at approximately $25 per month.
For email marketing, I’m using AWeber to help capture leads, manage subscribers, and organize follow-up campaigns.
AWeber can’t be more helpful. Talk about over delivering – they really know how to spoil their customers. Go to www.aweber.com/easy-email.htm?id=562049 now and take advantae of their free trial period.
These tools aren’t magic.
They don’t guarantee traffic, leads, or sales.
But they allow me to concentrate on the fundamentals without trying to master every advanced marketing strategy simultaneously.
And that brings me back to Jonathan Montoya.
The Pros and Cons of Jonathan Montoya’s AI Freedom Launchpad
The Pros
Established marketing experience: Jonathan has built a substantial online business and has years of experience teaching digital marketing.
Beginner-oriented training: AI Freedom Launchpad is marketed to people with limited technical experience, not exclusively seasoned professionals.
AI content tools: Training covers applications such as creating written content, graphics, videos, and AI assistants.
Multiple monetization possibilities: The program introduces different ways to use AI skills and market digital products.
Resale opportunity: The advertised resale rights may appeal to people interested in promoting an existing digital course rather than creating one from scratch.
Lifetime access: The core course advertises lifetime access, making it possible to revisit the material.
The Cons
Additional expenses: Depending on the business model you choose, optional coaching, funnel software, and other subscriptions can substantially increase your investment.
Technical learning curve: Even tools advertised as beginner-friendly require patience and practice.
No guaranteed income: Access to training, templates, and AI tools doesn’t mean customers will automatically appear.
Ongoing content demands: AI can help produce content, but you still need to attract an audience and earn its trust.
Potential information overload: Beginners may find themselves learning several unfamiliar technologies before mastering the basics of marketing.
Requires independent effort: Courses and automation can assist you, but they cannot replace the consistent work needed to build a business.
Is Jonathan Montoya Legitimate?
I would love to put on my investigative reporter’s hat and uncover all the scams, dirty tricks, and evil deeds lurking behind the curtain.
Unfortunately for my imaginary Pulitzer Prize, I haven’t uncovered evidence that would justify labeling Jonathan Montoya or his programs a scam.
He has an established public presence, a history of creating marketing education, and a range of products aimed at different levels of experience.
That doesn’t mean every product is right for every customer.
Nor does it mean every advertised result is typical.
As with any business education program, prospective buyers should examine the complete costs, refund terms, curriculum, and support arrangements before enrolling.
A legitimate product can still be the wrong purchase for your particular circumstances.
And that distinction is too often missing from affiliate marketing reviews.
My Final Verdict: The Horse or the Cart?

If I already had a successful high-ticket product, a moderately priced subscription service, or an established audience looking for AI solutions, I would give Jonathan Montoya’s current offerings serious consideration.
I can see the potential value in using AI to streamline content creation, develop marketing materials, and improve business efficiency.
But where I am today, my priorities are different.
I’m still building my audience, establishing my brand, learning the mechanics of online marketing, and developing relationships with prospective customers.
I don’t need every sophisticated tool on the market.
I need the right tools for the stage of business I’m actually in.
It’s a little like renting a beautiful storefront, installing expensive lighting, hiring a sales staff, and then realizing you haven’t decided what you’re going to sell.
You’ve got the store.
You’ve got the equipment.
You’ve even got the grand-opening balloons.
But where’s the merchandise?
That’s putting the cart before the horse.
And for many beginners, it’s a costly mistake.
My verdict: Jonathan Montoya’s AI Freedom Launchpad deserves consideration as an accessible introduction to AI-powered marketing. His broader AI ecosystem may also appeal to marketers ready to expand or automate their operations.
But I wouldn’t recommend that beginners commit to expensive recurring tools or coaching before understanding their business model and likely costs.
Start with the fundamentals.
Build something people actually want.
Earn their trust.
Then decide which tools can help you grow.
After all, the goal isn’t to own the most impressive collection of marketing software.
The goal is to build a business that works.
