Understanding Your Membership Billing

Knowing exactly how and when you’re billed helps you plan and avoid surprises. This guide explains how Badass Network membership billing works—what you pay, when you pay it, and what’s included in your subscription.

Your membership renews automatically each month on your billing date until you cancel. No need to manually renew—we handle it so your blog stays active without interruption.

How Billing Works

Your Billing Date

Your billing date is set when you first sign up. If you joined on the 15th of the month, you’ll be billed on the 15th each month going forward.

End-of-Month Dates
If you signed up on the 31st, you’ll be billed on the last day of shorter months. So February would bill on the 28th (or 29th in leap years), and April would bill on the 30th.

The Billing Process

  1. A few days before: You may receive a reminder that your renewal is coming up
  2. On your billing date: We automatically charge your saved payment method
  3. After successful payment: You receive an invoice by email and your membership continues
  4. If payment fails: We’ll retry and notify you (see our Failed Payments guide)

Automatic Renewal

Your subscription renews automatically—you don’t need to do anything. This ensures uninterrupted access to your blog and the community. If you want to stop your membership, you’ll need to actively cancel (see our Cancellation guide).

Finding Your Billing Information

Log into your account

Go to badassnetwork.com and sign in with your credentials.

Go to My Account

Click on “My Account” in the navigation or dashboard.

Navigate to Subscriptions

Find the “Subscriptions” section to view your active membership.

View subscription details

Here you’ll see your plan, price, next billing date, and payment method.

Understanding Your Subscription Status

Your subscription can have different statuses:

  • Active: Everything’s good—your membership is current and your blog is live
  • Pending Cancellation: You’ve cancelled but still have access until your paid period ends
  • On Hold: Payment failed and we’re waiting for a successful retry or updated payment method
  • Cancelled: Your membership has ended

Pop into My Account occasionally to make sure everything looks right. Catching a payment issue early means you can fix it before it affects your blog access.

When You’re Charged

You’re charged:

  • At signup: Your first payment is taken when you complete registration
  • Monthly thereafter: On your billing date each month

The charge appears on your bank or card statement as “BADASSNETWORK” or similar.

Price Changes

We aim to keep pricing stable, but if we ever need to adjust the membership price:

  • You’ll receive advance notice (typically 30 days)
  • Existing members may be grandfathered at the old rate (we’ll communicate specifics)
  • You’ll have the option to cancel before any price increase takes effect

The €25/month price has been stable since launch. We’re committed to keeping Badass Network affordable and accessible for bloggers at all stages.

Taxes and VAT

Depending on your location, taxes may apply:

  • EU members: VAT may be added to your membership fee based on your country’s rate
  • Non-EU members: Generally no VAT applies, but local taxes may be your responsibility
  • Business accounts: If you have a valid VAT number, you may be able to apply reverse charge (contact support)

Your invoice will show any applicable taxes separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

Currently, we only offer monthly billing. This keeps things flexible—you can cancel anytime without losing money on unused months. We may introduce annual plans in the future.

All charges are in Euros (€). If your card is in a different currency, your bank will convert at their exchange rate, and conversion fees may apply.

The most common reason is VAT. EU members have VAT added to the base price. Check your invoice for a breakdown. If you’re outside the EU and see a different amount, it could be currency conversion by your bank.

Your billing date is set when you sign up. Changing it isn’t straightforward, but contact support if you have a specific need—we’ll see what we can do.

Occasionally we run promotions. If you have a valid coupon code, you can apply it during checkout. Existing members should contact support to see if a promotion applies to their account.

We don’t currently offer a free trial. However, you can cancel within the first few days if you decide Badass Network isn’t right for you—check our refund policy for details.
