The Clueless Start That Actually Worked

When I first started on Blogger.com I had no clue what I was doing. I just loved writing. I was with a travel company doing cold calls and postcards that went nowhere.

A friend told me to blog about what I knew. So I wrote about Florida, Miami, Key West, Texas, the Caribbean. I used simple keywords like “travel discounts” and “condos at half off” so people could find me.

It took off fast. I signed people from Hawaii, California, Washington. I showed others how to do it and they duplicated it.

Ditching The Old Grind For Blogging

Back then with the travel company we were slow as heck, stuck on cold calls, postcards, the whole old-school push. My friend put me onto blogging and it clicked.

I started writing about places I’d been, Florida, Miami, Key West, Texas, the Caribbean. I wrote for people who actually loved travel and used keywords like travel, discount prices, condos at half off so they could find me.

The Wins Came Fast Using Blogging With Blogger

It took off quick. I signed someone from Hawaii, someone from California, someone from Washington.

The system was working and growing fast. I even showed others how to do it and they started duplicating what I was doing.

Why My Blogger Blog Got Shut Down

Then we all got suspended. No host, no brand, no company name — just Blogger URLs. I was teaching people how to save on travel and earn money, but there was no foundation.

I tried again with other platforms but it felt complicated — widgets, tech stuff. I’m not technical. Even with AI, a website takes me 5 days.

So I tried everything else. Solo ads, expensive courses, video. Nothing clicked like blogging.

The Detour That Didn’t Work

After the suspension it shook me hard. I tried blogging again with other packages but the magic wasn’t there. It felt way more complicated. Suddenly you had to know widgets and all this technical stuff. And I’m just not a technical person.

I can build a website, but it takes me five days even with AI and I still don’t really catch the drift. So I went down other marketing roads.

I wasted a lot of money on solo ads, solo leads, trying video, buying expensive courses that didn’t deliver. Nothing clicked like blogging did.

Why I’m Coming Back To Blogging

The thing that pulled me back is how simple it is and how well it ranked. When I was on Blogger I had top rankings for my travel company. I couldn’t believe it myself.

I still think someone probably turned me in because I was using Blogger instead of my own name or URL. But at the end of the day nothing else worked. That’s what’s bringing me back. Blogging is easy, it ranks, and it actually delivers without all the fluff.

There’s a learning curve, but I found a simple system. You can build a blog, build an email list, and make real income from home. Most people on social media don’t own their list.

If you have 1800 people on your email list, you can send one broadcast in a minute and offer real value. Way less invasive than cold DMs.
